Okay folks, we're starting to work on what kind of music we will be playing @ Euchronia - we want this event to be truly memorable, and we'd love your input! Please suggest your favourite tracks which have an anachronistic feel, which you'd like to hear played. We'll do our best to have tracks with that special something included on the night by our wonderful DJs.

Was just wanting to know who will be DJing in the ambient/laid-back room, or what kind of groups/CDs might be played? :)

Sorry this is the second time I'm replying to this - it appears my first one was eaten in a browser crash :(
We are firming up our playlist guidelines and the genres for the ambient room can pretty much be loosely defined under the meta-genre alternative ambient electronic music. For a bit of a more specific idea, check out the following genres on Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music in the Downtempo section, mainly:
ambient, new age, ethereal, dark ambient, classical, synth, worldbeat, ambient breaks, illbient, and even some ambient techno & house if appropriate.
I doubt we'd be playing most of the specific tracks exampled there, as all genres are well represented, and of course we'll be more deep and broad and include ambient goth & electro offerings of all kinds, but that's a starting point I hope? Suggestions/requests are also still more than welcome! We still have over a month to go, after all!
