Melbourne's own Sir Frederick Chook is the Antipodean League of Temporal Voyagers' comical performing historian, trained to weave chronological narratives much as a poodle balances a ball on its nose. Sir Frederick is a philosopher, writer, sometimes radio DJ, and the author of FrillyShirt. His stories of the delightful, subversive, macabre and entirely silly sides of Victorian history — in the gently wordy patter style of Flanders & Swann and Stephen Fry — have led critics to dub him "as mad as a bicycle."
